About The Havn Project
No corporate backing, no inflated numbers. Just a Toronto teenager who saw a problem and decided to do something about it.
The name is a stripped-down version of "haven" — a place of safety. That's exactly what we're trying to build access to.
The Havn Project started in 2026 because homeless people in Toronto walk past people every single day who have the means to help but no easy way to do it. We want to be that bridge.
We're not here to replace the shelters and organizations that have been doing this work for decades. We're here to support them — by raising funds, running supply drives, and building small tools that make outreach more efficient.
We also support students and schools that need help. Under-resourced schools in Toronto have aging buildings and outdated tech. Students from low-income families can't always afford basic supplies. If we can help close that gap, we will.
The Havn Project accepts donations directly through Stripe.
When we have real impact numbers to show, they'll be right here. Every dollar spent will be published publicly on this site.
No fake stats. No inflated impact reports. We tell you exactly where we are, what we've done, and what we haven't done yet.
Every dollar spent is published publicly. You can see exactly where donations go — no guessing, no trust-me.
We don't reinvent what already works. We support existing shelters, organizations, and schools. Collaboration beats competition.
We're starting in Toronto. We're building systems and habits that work whether we're serving 10 people or 10,000.
I'm a developer and student in Toronto. I started coding in 2025 and have built tools across AI, transit, weather, and web infrastructure under TheAlxLabs.
I started The Havn Project because I kept walking past people who needed help and felt like there was no easy way to actually do something about it. I also know firsthand what it's like to be at a school that could use more resources — so helping schools is just as important to me.
I'm handling everything right now — the website, the fundraising, the plan. When the org grows, that'll change. For now, if you email The Havn Project, you're emailing me.
